Woerden, Netherlands 29 October 2026
i+solutions has received a $1.5 million grant from the Gates Foundation to expand access to affordable, quality-assured essential medicines and health commodities.
i+solutions and Proqurable are driven by a critical health equity mission: ensuring that no one is left behind as health systems transition toward self-reliance. The grant supports Proqurable in tackling persistent medicine access barriers by offering tailored and transparent procurement and supply solutions, directly to self-financing public health programs and private sector healthcare providers in low- and middle-income countries.
Proqurable builds directly on the established, trusted foundations built by i+solutions, drawing on decades of procurement and supply experience delivering health commodities across more than 120 low- and middle-income countries. This grant enables i+, through Proqurable, to deploy specialised procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams, in combination with flexible financing, to create solutions that address persistent medicine access issues.
Ed Monchen, CEO of i+solutions: “Every patient deserves access to medicines they can trust, at prices they, or their health system, can sustain. True health equity requires more than innovative technology; it demands trust, long-standing supplier relationships, co-created solutions and uncompromising quality standards. This grant will support us to channel over 20 years of procurement and supply expertise from donor funded programs into practical, sustainable solutions for medicines access for self-financing buyers.”
Delivering uncompromising quality, value, reliability, and choice, i+solutions through Proqurable, co-create solutions powered by deep procurement expertise, flexible financing mechanisms, and long-standing supplier relationships.
